Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026/08/30
Unspanglish ("us", "we", or "our") operates https://unspanglish.com (the "Site"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site.
We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Cookies
We do not use non-essential cookies. We set a session cookie so that you stay logged in, and your browser stores your light or dark theme preference locally. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Information Collection And Use
While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address and phone number ("Personal Information"). When you create a beta account we also keep whatever you tell us in that form, such as whether you use an AI assistant and any comments you add.
Learning Data
The purpose of the Service is to remember your English mistakes, so we store what you and your AI assistant send us: the mistake, its correction and explanation, its category and level, and the prompts, your answers and the feedback for each practice exercise, along with the dates on which they happened.
This learning data is private to your account. We do not publish it, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone for advertising. Bear in mind that whatever your assistant chooses to log may include excerpts of your conversations, so avoid sending anything through it that you would not want stored.
Log Data
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data").
This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
Service Providers
We rely on a small number of third parties to run the Service, and they process data only on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, and our email provider for the messages we send you. The AI assistant you connect — ChatGPT, Claude or another — is not ours: what you type there is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, and Unspanglish only receives what the assistant sends to our tools.
The beta signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which works out in the background whether you are a person rather than a bot, without asking you to solve anything. To do that, Cloudflare receives signals from your browser such as your IP address, user agent and the address of the page. Cloudflare describes what it does with them in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. It runs on that one form and nowhere else on the Site.
Communications
We may use your Personal Information to contact you about your account, the beta and future changes to paid access, and to send you information that is relevant to you. You can ask us to stop at any time.
Your Rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Write to us at the address below and we will act on it.
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Your private MCP connection URL is the key to your learning data: keep it secret, and regenerate it from your settings if you think it has been exposed.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026/08/19 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
