Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Unspanglish's website and service (the "Service").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

The Service

Unspanglish connects to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your assistant records the English mistakes you make while chatting, and Unspanglish stores them so that you can review them and practise them later.

Unspanglish is currently offered as a free beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and we do not promise any particular level of availability. You receive access as soon as you confirm your account's email address.

Fees and Payment

The beta is free. Unspanglish is intended to become a paid service later, but no price or billing date is being offered yet. We will tell you the price and applicable terms in advance. We will not charge you or start a paid subscription unless you explicitly agree first.

You may choose not to continue when paid access is introduced. Nothing here takes away any right you have under consumer law; if something is wrong, write to us at hello@unspanglish.com and we will sort it out.

Your Account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password and your private MCP connection URL to yourself: anyone holding that URL can read and write your learning record. You can regenerate it at any time from your settings, which immediately revokes the old one.

Content

Our Service stores the mistakes, corrections, explanations and practice exercises that you or your AI assistant send to it. Unlike a public forum, this content is private to your account: it is not published, and other users cannot see it.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us the permission needed to store and process it for the sole purpose of running and improving the Service for you. Please do not log content that you are not allowed to share, and be mindful that anything you send through your assistant — including other people's personal information — will be stored.

We reserve the right to remove any content that we deem inappropriate without prior notice.

Language Corrections Are Not Advice

Corrections, explanations, exercises and levels in Unspanglish are produced by AI models and by automated rules. They are often useful and sometimes wrong. Unspanglish is a practice aid, not a teacher, an examiner or a certification, and you should not rely on it where an accurate answer matters.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to send content that is unlawful or abusive, to access another person's account, to probe or disrupt our infrastructure, or to place an automated load on it beyond ordinary personal use.

Links To Other Web Sites

Our Service works alongside, and may contain links to, third party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Unspanglish — the AI assistant you connect being the main one. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Unspanglish has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Unspanglish shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account and everything in it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Unspanglish will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
